 Welcome
to Bement!
We
are looking forward to a wonderful school year. The
students are busily working on book reports, science
projects, after-school sports, plays, and concerts.
All of which make for the amazing Bement environment in
which we strive to foster education for the head, heart,
and hands.
The Bement School and the Bement Parents’ Association
work together with common goals. We, the parents,
students, and faculty all work together as a community
to build school spirit, friendships, and to make a
difference in our community. The Parents’ Association
plays an active role in support of the school’s
fundraising and community activities throughout the
year. We began the year with a successful Blazer Sale,
the Annual All School Picnic, and marvelous Fall Bazaar
in which we had enthusiastic volunteers. These
initial events are excellent examples of what the
Parents’ Association is all about.
Our Parents’ Association is totally dependent upon
volunteer participation. Every parent is a member of
the Parents’ Association and we welcome everyone’s
participation, no matter how small. Your participation
really makes a difference in the fine quality of
education our children receive. Review the Parents’

listing to see which you would involve yourself and feel
free to print out the
volunteer form any time and hand it in to either
Carole Pennock in the Lower School, or to Peg Verdery in
the Upper School.
On
behalf of the 2007-2008 Parents’ Association Officers,
we wish each family an enriching school year and welcome
you to join in our efforts to foster a community at
Bement whose spirit is active, compassionate, and
exciting.
